Steel Drum Studies

The Walnut Hills H.S. Steel Drum program has grown tremendously since its inception in 2000. Director Ed LeBorgne brings the enthusiasm and passion he gained while studying with Dr. Chris Tanner at Miami University. Our program continues to be closely linked with Miami’s, often participating in joint clinics and concerts. The groups do occasionally travel to regional and national steel drum festivals and workshops, as well as performing in outside venues.

See individual class descriptions for specific requirements for each group. Proper attire is a mandatory part of participation, and class grade is dependant upon compliance.
