Jazz Studies

The two Jazz Band courses at Walnut Hills aim to introduce students to an appreciation of this inherently American music style, and to develop improvisation and ensemble participation skills. Members of both bands are encouraged to play in outside venues as much as possible.

See individual class descriptions for specific requirements for each group. Proper attire is a mandatory part of participation, and class grade is dependant upon compliance.
