The Sebastian Schemmel Legacy Fund
Sebastian graduated from Walnut Hills in 2020.
Academically, he was a National Merit Finalist and a cum laude recipient. Outside the classroom, he was involved in Kiva Club, Mock Trial, and played on the men’s lacrosse team. His musical journey was equally impressive, ranging from performing in the Senior Orchestra and the MYCincinnati Youth Orchestra to performing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Aspen Music Festival.
Music took many forms for Seb, from a brief stint as a rapper to a growing passion as a DJ. No matter the genre or stage of life, Seb used music as a way to express himself and always bring people together.
But if you ask someone about Seb, they won’t start with his achievements as a student, musician, or young professional. Instead, they’ll speak about him as a son, a brother, and a loving friend - someone who led by example and made everyone feel seen and valued.

THE WHHS MUSIC DEPARTMENT HAS ESTABLISHED A FUND IN SEBASTIAN'S MEMORY.
