college-level courses and tests. Just over 1.600 schools—only 6 percent of
all the public schools in the U.S.—made the list.

General Information
All parents or guardians of a Walnut Hills student, along with faculty and staff members are automatically members of the Walnut Hills High School Association, also known as Parent Board. There is no cost to join, membership is free, but the experience is invaluable! Parent Board meetings are usually held the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the conference room at school. There is no meeting in December or May.
Attending Parent Board meetings is a great opportunity to find out more about school programs, issues, and life in general at Walnut Hills. We welcome your input, and if there is ever anything you want discussed at a meeting, please feel free to contact any officer of the Parent Board.
There are many ways to get involved and feel connected to the school and your teenager's life sign up to help at school sponsored events, plays, music programs, and sporting events. It's easy to get started just come to a meeting! Every year Walnut Hills is lucky to have the help of many wonderful parent volunteers and we are always grateful for the help! There is a link to a volunteer sign up sheet. Please take a look at it and see what projects would be of interest to you. It's important to note that when you volunteer your time for any event at Walnut Hills you are never alone and no person ever feels overwhelmed! We are appreciative for any amount of time you are able to contribute. So whether you like to be a part of work projects, run concessions, proctor tests, chair social events, design publicity flyers, chaperone dances, write newsletters, stuff envelopes, or make phone calls, you will be able to contribute!
I sincerely hope that you will join us WE NEED YOU! Together we can accomplish great things for our children and Walnut Hills.
