What to do when your student is injured in a contest or a practice

It is vital for parents to have their student see one of our Certified Athletic Trainers the day the student is injured or the very next day.
  • When: Usually from 7th Bell (1:40 pm) to approximately 3 pm, our Certified Athletic Trainers will be in one of our two Athletic Training Rooms (ATR). If they are not in one of the ATR, then you can call them to find their current location.
  • Where: One ATR is Room 1824 near the swimming pool under the HS Gym and the other is in Room 1425/26 near the Fitness Center under the JH gym.
  • Why: To be evaluated; to receive a referral to imaging, testing and/or physician-provided care, if appropriate, and with parent consent; to receive Certified Athletic Trainer-provided treatment and/or rehabilitation on site; and to begin the insurance paperwork process discussed below.
