• The Athletic Director received the following email after the varsity football team defeated West Carrollton HS: “Just wanted to drop you a quick note. My son is a West Carrollton football player, your opponent last Friday night. When talking to him about the game, I asked him how the kids on the Walnut Hills team were acting. He made the statement something to the affect (sic) “that members of your team were polite and courteous.” What makes this out of the norm, is that he never said anything like this about any team or its members. While this is not a significant world event, it does say something about your coaches, their kids and what is being taught at your school. Please pass to your coaches and staff that what they are teaching your young men on this team seems to be a positive thing. Best wishes for the remainder of the season. Sincerely, Jeffrey B.”

• This year’s league performances and awards are even more impressive as this was the year when 4 more schools were added to our division, Anderson, Milford, Loveland, and Glen Este – all Division I schools - so the competition was greater and All-League voting involved 9 schools, not 5 as in previous years.
