Welcome to the Walnut Hills High School Athletic Website. Walnut Hills now competes in the FAVC Cardinal division. The Fort Valley Ancient Conference features 18 schools in three divisions. Other teams in FAVC Cardinal are Amelia, Kings, Little Miami, Turpin, and Wilmington.
NewsAre You Ready For Some Football?Summer Organizational Meeting for Football Parents Youth Football Camp Information4-Day Camp Summer Sport PhysicalsJuly 15th 6-8pm Eligibility Reminder For All Fall AthletesA reminder to all fall athletes that your 4th quarter grades will determine eligibility for the fall of 2008-2009 season. All JH students must pass 75% of their 4th quarter classes. High school students must pass 5 1-credit classes in the 4th quarter, not including PE class. Summer school classes will not make up for failing 4th quarter grades. Any questions or concerns contact the athletic department. Spring Sports Banquet Set for May 18thThe annual spring sports banquet will be Sunday May 18th at 5pm
in the auditorium. The banquet was moved to a Sunday to accommodate
with testing that next week. All spring athletes are encouraged to
attend. Mandatory Pre-season Parent Meeting March 18th at 7pm in the Auditorium.The Walnut Hills Athletic Dept. expects all parents of spring athletes to attend the pre-season meeting to cover various topics and answer any questions parents may have. If your son or daughter participated in another sport this year and have already attended a pre-season meeting this year you are not required to attend. Lady Eagles to Face Mt Notre Dame in District FinalsYour #8 Lady Eagles will face #2 seed Mt. Notre Dame this Saturday, February 23rd at 3pm at Harrison High School. Pre-sale tickets are on sale in the athletic office for $5.00. Come out and show your support for the Lady Eagles! 4 Soccer Girls Sign National Letters of IntentCongratulations to four members of the Lady Eagles soccer team who plan to continue their playing career in college. From Left to right- Kristi Moore (Wright State), Landi Wilson (South Alabama), Kelly Thomas (George Mason), Iesha King (Wright State). These four girls helped Walnut Hill compile a 16-3-5 overall league record as well as 2 FAVC titles (2004,2006).

Boys Basketball to Battle Amelia in 1st RoundThe boy’s basketball team won’t have to worry about being familiar with their 1st round opponent for the 2007-2008 boys basketball state tournament. Walnut Hills will play the Amelia Barons at Lakota West on Tuesday February 12th at 7:45pm. The winner will advance to play top seed Moeller. Pre-sale tickets will be on sale in the athletic department for $5.00 per student and adult. seed meeting this past Sunday to determine the 2007-2008 playoff
brackets. Walnut Hills finished as the #8 seed and is scheduled to play
#15 seed Sycamore Wednesday, February 6 @ Milford HS at 6pm. Pre-sale
tickets can be purchased in the athletic dept. and at all home games for
$5.00, if you wait to buy at the door tickets will cost $7.00 Lady Eagles Center Receives City Wide AttentionSophomore center Taylor Stanton received city wide recognition in the
January 11th Cincinnati Enquirer in a new section as “Players to Watch”.
The sophomore had her biggest game of the season against league rival
Kings grabbing 18 rebounds and scoring 24 points. She is averaging over
16 points and 10 rebounds a contest for the well-balanced 10-1 Lady
Eagles as they strive for their first ever FAVC league title. Come out
and support the Lady Eagles throughout the rest of the season. Walnut Hills Welcomes New Head Football CoachPrincipal Jeff Brokamp and Athletic Director Lynne Harris officially welcomed new head football coach George Kontsis to the Walnut Hills family on Thursday, January 3. He was introduced to a crowd of existing football players and their families. Coach K and his new staff are very excited to get things going here at Walnut Hills that begins this week with off-season conditioning. The off-season workouts will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:50-4pm in the weight room. For any other question contact the athletic department. Basketball Senior Nights SetAll seniors in basketball
and cheerleading please remember to return the questionnaire to the
athletic department by January 11th. The boys and girls senior’s
introductions will happen immediately following the JV games while the
cheerleaders will be introduced at halftime of the boy’s game. Come out
and cheer your seniors on one last time! Walnut Hills GOLD OUT Nights SetThe athletic department
has set dates for GOLD OUT nights. On these evenings all fans are
encouraged to wear gold and support the teams. Gold Walnut Pride
long-sleeve and sweatshirts will be on sale at these games as well as
all varsity basketball contests. Fall Awards Night November 19thA reminder to all fall-sport athletes and families. The awards night will be on November 19th at 7pm in the auditorium. Each Individual teams breakout will begin after the main ceremony. Come out and show your support as we recognize all the fine accomplishments of the fall sports teams!
