college-level courses and tests. Just over 1.600 schools—only 6 percent of
all the public schools in the U.S.—made the list.
Newsweek has ranked Walnut 66th in the nation and #1 in Ohio.
Library - Art History Resources
There are many books on art, the history of art in general, and specific artists in the Walnut Hills High School Library. In particular, we have the Grove Dictionary of Art, an essential reference for art and art history, in our library. Use this first: it's the best source!
Some websites you might want to look at in addition are:
Art History Resources on the Web- A wonderful encyclopedia of world art, run by Professor Chris Witcombe of Sweet Briar College, with lots of information, good encycloepdia style articles, and many pictures.
Artcyclopedia- If you need a picture by a specific artist, this is the place. With links to dozens of museum sites and online art collections, this site is a good source for finding specific images.
WebMuseum of Paris- This site is part of the larger Artcyclopedia; it has basic biographical information on world artists.
